Service Description

In these sessions you will explore the powers and wonders of drypoint, the lesser known intaglio sibling of etching and engraving. It has been used by such artists as Rembrandt, Dürer, and Redon to achieve startling and enthralling images of rich darkness, transcendental light, and indexical mystery. It is the most intuitive of all the intaglio methods and it carries the direct marks of the artist - then imprinted and reproduced in a limited fashion, without the intermediary violence of acid.
